ScholarlyThis member of the Philippian church has the feminine Greek name Euodia, 'good journey' or 'prosperous,' near-homophonous with euodia, 'sweet fragrance.' Older translations such as the KJV mistakenly masculinized it as 'Euodias,' but the grammar of Paul's appeal ('help these women') confirms she is a woman.
