The Bible Database Project

Privacy

The Bible Database Project is designed to respect your privacy. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site.

What we collect

  • Contact form. If you write to us through the contact form, we store the name, email address and message you provide so we can reply. We use it only to respond to you, and we don't sell or share it.
  • Basic server logs. Like most websites, our hosting keeps standard technical logs (for example IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. These are not used to identify you personally.

Cookies

The site uses only the essential cookie Django needs for security (CSRF protection) when you submit the contact form. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Third-party content

Some pages embed maps (OpenStreetMap) and public-domain images (Wikimedia Commons) served from those providers, and link out to Amazon for recommended books. When you follow such a link or load such content, that third party may receive your request under its own privacy policy.

Affiliate disclosure

The Bible Database Project is a participant in the Amazon Associates programme. As an Amazon Associate we may earn from qualifying purchases made through the recommended-reading links on the site, at no extra cost to you.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time — just use the contact form.

This policy may be updated as the site develops. Please check back for the latest version.
