1 Peter

1 Peter is a letter of hope for Christians facing suffering and hostility, addressed to believers scattered across Asia Minor as 'exiles' in a world not their own. Peter reminds them of their living hope through the resurrection and their identity as God's chosen people.

He calls them to holy, humble, good conduct even under unjust suffering, following the example of Christ 'who committed no sin' yet suffered for them (2:21–24). The letter turns persecution into an occasion for witness and glory, urging steadfast faith in the God who will restore them.
