Ephesians

Ephesians unfolds the grand scope of God's purpose in Christ: to unite all things in heaven and earth under him, and to make Jew and Gentile one new humanity in the church. Its first half soars through the believer's riches in Christ — chosen, redeemed, raised and seated with him, saved 'by grace... through faith' (2:8).

Its second half draws out the practical consequences: unity, holiness, transformed relationships in home and work, and the call to 'put on the whole armour of God' against spiritual evil. Majestic and pastoral, Ephesians is a sweeping vision of the church as God's masterpiece.
