ArchaeologyA signet ring inscribed 'belonging to Jotham', found at the copper port of Tell el-Kheleifeh near the Gulf of Aqaba, is often linked to this king β€” though the identification is not certain, as the name was not rare.
Signet ring inscribed l-ytm ('belonging to Jotham'), Tell el-Kheleifeh (Ezion-geber/Elath), excavated by Nelson Glueck 1938–40; finds re-examined in G. D. Pratico, 'Nelson Glueck's 1938–1940 Excavations at Tell el-Kheleifeh: A Reappraisal' (ASOR/Scholars Press, 1993); attribution to the king debated.
